Pamela Tanner Boll, parent of Ian ’06 and Alex ’07, is an artist,
writer, filmmaker, and activist. As coexecutive producer of the Academy
Award-winning film Born into Brothels: The Kids of Calcutta’s Red Light District,
she powerfully combined her art with her activism. Pam is currently
producing the following film projects: Global Moms; Life on the Edge:
True Stories of Doctors Without Borders; 9/12: From Chaos to Community;
Kashmir; and In a Dream.
Pam is also directing and producing the film Who Does She Think She
Is?, a feature-length documentary about the lives of female artists and
mothers. It follows six contemporary women working in the
arts—sculptors, musicians, painters, and poets—and shows their struggle
to express themselves in a world that sometimes devalues the
contributions of women as artists and caregivers.
A special screening of Ms. Boll’s new film will be held this weekend.
